Sixth Grade Poetry About Their Thoughts
Blue Group Thoughts
I don’t like masks
Can’t breathe
Smell sour
Don’t like things on my face
Can’t see other people
Tired of washing hands
They are sore
They bleed
Don’t like COVID
People get sick
Can’t high five
Have to social distance
Can’t touch
Can’t hug
But
We have hope
We are here
We are in school
Seeing our friends
Get more fun and learning
Than the Remote Learning
Get to see our teachers
There are mini-fridges
Drive-ins
Empty spaces
We are here!
Green Group Thoughts
Wearing masks sucks
They are uncomfortable-
Mask spit---
They cover half your face
(some of us like that)
You can’t breathe
Stay six feet apart
Not sure how far Can’t fist bump
Only eye contact
You have to yell to talk
To your friends
No hugs
Can’t drink from fountain
We wash our hands a million times
Dry hands
Hurt
Really annoying
Wait in line
Wait wait waittttttttt
But
We are learning
We get to see some of our friends
We get to see our teachers
We can play
There is gym class
Teachers are like moms
Lunch is in the classroom!!
No assigned seats
We are together
There is Recess- we love the sunshine!!!
AND INSIDE IS OK TOO.........
